As we paddle through the estuary and mangrove tunnels, keep your eyes peeled for curious dolphins, scurrying mangrove tree crabs, jumping mullet, soaring osprey and giant conch shells. Every bit of wildlife we spot we'll talk about. Our kayak tour lasts 2.5 hours and we'll paddle a total of 3 miles at a relaxing pace. The water is usually shallow and easy to paddle... and don't worry, there are no alligators! Everyone over age 12 gets a single-seater kayak with a highback seat, cup holder and adjustable foot rests. Parents with kids under 12 or adults who enjoy fighting with each other can choose to paddle in a 2-seater kayak (also known as a divorce kayak). During the kayak tour, your biologist and naturalist kayak tour guides will be taking FREE HD PHOTOS of you and your party with a high-end camera. A link to the free photographs will be given to you at the end of the tour.

Twelve Island Tour (Goodland) Duration: 3.5 hours, Distance: 4.5 miles, Price $80, Beginning in Goodland, this tour will explore 12 of the 10,000 Islands. You have to start somewhere! Watch dolphin corralling fish, wading birds lurking in the mangroves and ospreys diving for fish as you weave your way to a deserted barrier island. Enjoy beach-combing, a swim, and a snack (bring your own) before we complete our circular route and paddle back.Keewaydin Island Duration: 3.5-4 hours Distance: 6 miles Price $80 Paddle through Hall Bay, and weave your way around Cannon Island and Little Marco Island as you make your way to Keewaydin Island, a pristine barrier island in Rookery Bay Reserve. Hike to the gulf side of the island (wear closed-toed shoes). Enjoy beach-combing, a swim and a snack (bring your own). Paddle back through mangrove tunnels (tide dependent). This longer tour may not be suitable for beginners due to longer distance and tight tunnels. Tour is available upon request with a minimum of 4 people. Sunset Bird Fly-In (Winter and Spring) Duration: 2 hours Price: $60 This is an experience not to be missed. Paddle through Rookery Bay Reserve‘s pristine estuary estuary teeming with life: curious dolphins, lolling tarpon, scurrying mangrove tree crabs. We end up at a bird rookery and hang out while close to 1000 birds soar in over our heads to roost as the sun sets. We will paddle back at under the moon and the stars with head lamps. East River Duration: 3-3.5 hours Distance: 3 miles Price: $80 Beginning in Fakahachee Strand State Preserve, paddle past an active bird rookery and through a series of very tight, cool, shady mangrove tunnels. Enjoy air plants overhead, fish leaping over your kayak and peaceful quiet. Tour time includes caravaning to launch site, getting situated in the kayaks, and time at the rookery, so actual paddling time will be more like 2.5-3 hours. This tour may not be suitable for beginners since the tunnels are tight in places. Tour includes opportunities to view alligators. Tour is available upon request with a minimum of 4 people. Linger with a curious bottlenose dolphin, wading birds and soaring ospreys as you experience this pristine estuary.
